The banking app you need as a new parent

November 03, 2023

The U.S. Bank Mobile App makes it easier than ever to keep your finances in check, even with a new baby in the house.

As a new parent, going to the bank might be the last thing on your mind. We get it: which is why the U.S. Bank Mobile App is designed to make everything about banking to-dos easier. Here are the features you need to know as a new parent, so you can keep track of your finances, pay your bills and send money, all before naptime is over.

Receive account notifications

When you’re too busy to actively monitor your bank accounts, it’s nice to know that you can be automatically notified of low balances, large purchases, suspicious transactions and more. With the U.S. Bank Mobile App, it’s easy to set up account notifications to keep you up to date via text1 or email about important account activity.

Deposit checks

With the U.S. Bank Mobile App, there’s no need to pack up the baby for a trip to the bank to deposit a check. Simply snap a pic with the mobile check deposit2 feature and get the money into your account without the hassle.

Manage and pay bills

With your new baby as your first priority, it’s easy to lose track of your bills. Manage them directly in the U.S. Bank Mobile App and set up autopay3 for predictable expenses so you never miss a beat.

Send money with Zelle®

Need to pay a babysitter for a last-minute gig? With Zelle® in the U.S. Bank Mobile App, sending,4 receiving and requesting5 money is safe, easy and free. Plus, the money you send can be in someone’s account in minutes6, making you the most reliable babysitting gig in the neighborhood.

Keep credit and debit cards safe and secure

If you mistakenly drop your card in the laundry hamper (or just misplace it), the U.S. Bank Mobile App makes it easy to instantly lock your card, then unlock it again when you find it. If it doesn’t turn up, you can report your card lost or stolen, freezing the account while you wait for the replacement to arrive. And if multiple cards are lost or stolen, you can report them at the same time from the app.

Get personalized insights

Welcoming a baby also means looking at your finances a bit differently so a budget tracker is a must. We’re here to make the transition to “new parent budget” a little easier. Use the new Money Tracker tool built right in the app, along with personalized insights, to monitor your spending across all accounts, budget for your baby and save for the future.

Bank hands-free with U.S. Bank Smart Assistant

Having an infant at home means never having enough arms available for the tasks at hand. U.S. Bank Smart Assistant in the U.S. Bank Mobile App lets you take care of a growing range of common banking tasks using your voice. It’s one more way to make living with a new baby less hectic.
