How do I change my password?
Change your password whenever you need to. Here's how:
To change your password using online banking
- Select Profile & settings, then Manage profile & settings.
- Select Edit login preferences, then choose Edit to the right of "Password".
- Provide your current password. Then enter a new password and re-enter it once more.
- When complete, select Update password.
To change your password using the U.S. Bank Mobile App
- Open the main menu, select Security center.
- Select Update password, then choose Change password.
- Provide your current password. Then enter a new password and re-enter it once more.
- When complete, select Update password.
More information
To ensure your information is secure, these minimum requirements need to be met:
- It's 8-24 characters in length.
- Include at least one letter and one number.
- No spaces.
- Special characters allowed are: ~ ! $ ^ ( ) - = + } | ; : > @ # &
You may receive an error message if one of the following occurs:
- You're trying to re-use a password.
- Three identical characters or numbers are listed in a row.
- Using your username or the word "Password".
