What is Zelle® and how does it work?

Zelle® is an easy and safe way to move money digitally, without the need to provide your bank account information. Instead, a person's email address or mobile phone number is used to send and receive money.1 To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account.

  • It's easy to identify a person is enrolled with Zelle®; they'll have a purple "Z" by their name when you send money.
