Is the WorldPerks Visa card going away?
Yes. The FlexPerks Visa card is being offered to WorldPerks® Visa cardmembers so that they can receive more flexible rewards and improved travel benefits. The FlexPerks Visa card is not associated with, endorsed or sponsored by Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, or the WorldPerks program.


When will I receive my new FlexPerks Visa card?
You should receive a FlexPerks Visa card by early July. Once you receive the card, please call to activate the card and become a FlexPerks Visa cardmember. After activation, you should destroy your old WorldPerks Visa card immediately for security reasons.


Will my FlexPerks Visa card have a different account number than my WorldPerks Visa card?
No. Your account number on your FlexPerks Visa card will be the same as your current WorldPerks Visa card number. Most automatic payments will continue without interruption.


Am I still earning WorldPerks miles with my WorldPerks Visa card?
You can continue to earn WorldPerks miles until the date communicated to you on the WorldPerks Visa statement that you receive between May 11, 2009 and June 15, 2009. In honor of our 15-year card partnership, U.S. Bank and Northwest Airlines are pleased to inform you that for one month after you begin earning FlexPoints, your account will also earn WorldPerks miles, regardless of which card is used. After this one-month period, your WorldPerks Visa card will no longer allow charges and your FlexPerks card will only earn FlexPoints.


How is the FlexPerks Visa card different from the WorldPerks Visa card?
Your FlexPerks Visa card gives you the flexibility to earn award travel on more than 150 airlines (including NWA/Delta and United) with no blackout dates or capacity controls. Award travel starts at just 20,000 FlexPoints. In addition to air travel, you can redeem your FlexPoints for merchandise, gift cards, gift certificates for hotel stays and car rentals, and statement credit to your account. Complete program details will accompany the FlexPerks Visa card. Please note that the new FlexPerks Visa card is not associated with, endorsed or sponsored by Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, or the WorldPerks program.

  FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature cardmembers earn one FlexPoint for every $1 of net purchases charged to their card. They also earn Double FlexPoints for gas, groceries or airline travel purchases, whichever they spend most on each monthly billing cycle, as well as most cell phone purchases, including monthly bills, accessories and Internet charges. Cardmembers who redeem for award travel receive up to a $20 award travel allowance for airline expenses such as baggage fees or in-flight food and drinks.
  FlexPerks Select Rewards Visa cardmembers earn one FlexPoint for every $2 of net purchases charged to their card.
  FlexPerks Business Travel Rewards Visa cardmembers earn one FlexPoint for every $1 of net purchases charged to their card. They also earn Double FlexPoints for gas, office supplies and airline travel purchases -- whichever they spend most on each monthly billing cycle, as well as most cell phone purchases, including monthly bills, accessories and Internet charges. Cardmembers who redeem for award travel receive up to a $25 award travel allowance for airline expenses such as baggage fees or in-flight food and drinks.


What happens to the WorldPerks miles I've already earned?
Your miles are safe and will remain in your account with NWA/Delta. Learn more.


Can I still use my WorldPerks Visa card?
Yes. Your WorldPerks Visa card will work as usual. Continue to use it as you always have until its termination date. When your new FlexPerks Visa card arrives in the mail by early July (the exact date depends on your monthly billing cycle) you will have the opportunity to elect to use the FlexPerks Visa card. When your FlexPerks Visa card arrives, follow the card activation instructions and then destroy your old WorldPerks Visa card for security reasons.


What is the annual fee for the FlexPerks Visa card?
There is no annual fee for the first year for WorldPerks Visa cardmembers who elect to use the FlexPerks Visa card. After that, it's $49 for the FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature card (waived if net card spend is $24,000 or more per year) and $55 a year for the FlexPerks Business Travel Rewards Visa card (waived if net business account spend is $24,000 or more per year; $10 for each additional card). There is no annual fee for the FlexPerks Select Rewards Visa card.


Can I still use my WorldPerks Visa annual award discount?
WorldPerks Visa stopped issuing Annual Award E-certsSM on April 30, 2009. You'll still be able to redeem existing E-certs until one year from the date of issue.


Can I still redeem 10,000 miles for $100 NWA E-Cert?
No, WorldPerks Visa Signature cardmembers can no longer redeem 10,000 WorldPerks Miles for $100 off a NWA ticket. This benefit ended on April 30, 2009. $100 E-certs are valid for one calendar year from the date they are issued. U.S. Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa cardmembers will be able to redeem 5,000 FlexPoints for $50 off air travel, or 10,000 FlexPoints for $100 off air travel on more than 150 different airlines including Delta, United and NWA.


How can I redeem my FlexPoints?
FlexPoints can be redeemed online when you login to U.S. Bank Internet Banking, select your FlexPerks Card and then go to the U.S. Bank Rewards Center.


Can I still use my WorldPerks Visa Check card?
Yes. Your card will continue to earn WorldPerks miles through early September 2009.

Can I still earn Elite Qualifying Miles with my WorldPerks Visa Signature card?1
As a WorldPerks Visa Signature Cardmember, you have had the ability to earn up to 20,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) toward your WorldPerks Elite status each calendar year. In light of the upcoming mid-year card changes, U.S. Bank and Northwest Airlines have modified the 2009 EQM promotion to allow for a pro-rata award tier of EQMs, regardless of whether your spending is on your WorldPerks Visa Signature or FlexPerks Visa Signature Card. Additionally, after June 30, 2009 no spending will qualify for EQMs. Spending from January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009 will be awarded based on the following table:

1)  The effective date of this program is January 1st 2009 through June 30th 2009. This period has been modified to reflect the termination of the WorldPerks Visa relationship between U.S. Bank and Northwest Airlines. Net Purchases for a billing period are determined by adding all new Purchases recorded to your Account during the billing period and subtracting any credits or other adjustments recorded to your Account during the billing period for returned Purchases. Convenience Checks, Finance Charges and Fees, credit insurance or transactions to fund certain prepaid card products, ATM Withdrawals, Quasi Cash, and Balance Transfers do not qualify towards EQM Net Purchases. The maximum number of EQMs per WorldPerks member/number that can be earned during the period using your WorldPerks Visa Signature Card and/or FlexPerks Visa Signature Card [starting with the numbers 419008, 412714, or 414778] is 20,000. You must spend the full qualifying amount to earn EQMs. No partial awards will be made for spend less than $12,500 or $25,000 or $50,000 on any one Card. EQMs will be posted by August 30th, 2009. Accounts must be in good standing to earn EQMs.
